Have you heard of the spherical universe theory?
In ancient times, people believed that the world was shaped like a flat disc floating on a vast ocean, surrounded by a spherical sky. They thought that at the edge of the world, the ocean’s water would cascade down like a waterfall. This is what we call the flat Earth theory.
But now, the leading scientific theory about the universe is the expansion theory. This theory suggests that the universe is continuously expanding, but in reality, it has some far-fetched aspects, much like the old flat Earth theory. The universe is so vast that with our current scientific capabilities, we can only think of it as an endless, expanding flat space.
That’s where the spherical universe theory comes in. The idea is that the universe is actually spherical. So, when navigating through space, you don’t need to travel around the outer edge; you can take a shortcut through the interior to reach your destination planet faster. This is what we call warp travel.
